Tests requested by someone else

If tests have not been requested by the practice, please consult the clinic where the test was requested/the doctor who requested the tests, for results.

For more information about your test results please contact the Hospital, Urgent Care Centre or Minor Injuries Unit where the test was conducted.

Further Information

Please help us by ensuring any specimens you are requested to provide are given in the correct container and are labelled; failure to do so will mean the laboratory cannot process your specimen. Specimens must be brought in before 5pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and before 2pm on Wednesdays.

The doctors review all test results. You will be contacted if any follow up is required. Please make sure we have your correct address and telephone number.

When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind and call the surgery on 0161 224 6522 after 2pm once sufficient time has elapsed.

Please understand that we are bound to maintain patient confidentiality and therefore results will only be disclosed to the patient (not their spouse/partner) or to the parents of minors, i.e. under the age of 16, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
